German Born Marcel Hartmann moved to Paris as a young photographer assistant in 1998. He quickly made a name for himself assisting internationally reknown photographers including Richard Avedon, Peter Lindbergh, Dominique Issermann... He began his personal career as a photographer working for Studio and Première Cinema magazines, in particular shooting celebrities during the Cannes Film Festival, and quickly expanded into editorial and advertising.
Today his work embraces the worlds of cinema, fashion, sport and music. Marcel contributes to the worlds leading magazines such as Vanity Fair, Numero,Vogue Homme and GQ, USA today, Madame Figaro, Glamour, and has photographed some of the worlds most popular sportsmen and celebrities including Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Meryl Streep and Ryan Gosling.
Marcel’s advertising clients include Chevignon, Rolex, Mc Neal, Le Coq Sportif, and recently Vuarnet with Vincent Cassel, Jaeger Lecoultre with Clive Owen et Diane Kruger, Lotus with Megan Fox, Festina with Richard Virenque, Longines with Simon Baker.
