Biography

The young British Sarah started out as a camera assistant after studying Television Production & Film Production and Cinematography in Toronto.

When she returned to England, Sarah began working as a director of photography, but moved over to directing in 2005 and has been making music videos and commercials ever since (the colourful promo for Lily Allen’s single ‘Alfie’which was a huge airplay success, the Noisettes, Lykke Li, Annie…).   She was awarded Best New Director and Best Pop video for “Alfie” at the CAD’s awards in June 2007.
Sarah and former directing partner Chris Sweeney were then approached directly by Stefano Pilati at Yves Saint Laurent to direct the catwalk-replacing fashion film for their A/W 08/09 Menswear collection, starring Simon Woods. The film was a resounding success and led to a further commission for the SS 09 collection; this time a series of shorts which were displayed in a vast gallery space in the Musée de l'Homme as part of fashion week. Sarah’style is already recognizable, either pop & lively, or chic and graphic.
